The Newcomer Club of Greeneville, which meets monthly, recently voted to update their name and will now be known as Newcomers & Neighbors Club of Greeneville.
“There has been continuing confusion from residents in the community regarding who can join the Newcomer Club. Many other Newcomer Clubs in existence require more stringent membership rules regarding how long the member has been in the new area and how long they can remain a member. Our club has no such rules. This update will more clearly define who we are”. says Sandra Pfister, President of the Newcomer Club.
“We welcome anyone who has relocated to the Greeneville/Greene County area regardless of how long they have resided here and they are not required to quit after a specified period of time. They can be a member for as long as they want. We understand that friendships evolve over time and we hope that many of our members become lifelong friends. ”
