A Greeneville man was arrested early Thursday morning for aggravated kidnapping and domestic assault.
According to the Greeneville Police Department report, the victim reported she went to Jarrod West’s house on Winchester Drive on October 4. West allegedly took her car keys, preventing her from leaving. When the victim attempted to leave the residence on foot, West stood in front of the door, pushed her away and would not allow her to leave. The victim said during the time she was confined to West’s residence, he pushed her into multiple items throughout the house, headbutted her, and kicked her in the ribs multiple times.
The victim said on Tuesday of this week, West said he would let her leave if she drove him to Walmart. The victim told West when they got into the car she was driving to the police department. West then reportedly begged her not to go to the police, jumped from the vehicle, and walked toward his house.
Around 12:30 Thursday morning, officers went to West’s residence. No one answered the door, but officers saw West through an upstairs window. Officers went to the back of the house and found an open door. West came down the stairs after officers entered the house. He was then transported to the Greene County Detention Center for aggravated kidnapping and domestic assault.
