A man was arrested on Tuesday after he crashed his vehicle into a creek.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Department responded to the intersection of Barren Valley Road and Chuckey Pike after receiving a report of a driver leaving the scene of a crash. A witness saw a vehicle in a creek in the area that morning. He reportedly saw the driver asleep in the vehicle. The driver woke up a short time later, stepped out into the creek, and started walking down the road.
50-year-old Fred Poore was located walking in the area and told deputies someone else had been driving. Poore’s clothes were wet and a set of keys were found during a pat down search. He admitted to taking the keys out of the vehicle that had crashed before he left.
Poore was then arrested for driving on a revoked license 4th offense and transported to the Greene County Detention Center.
