An accident Friday evening on West Summer Street left one person injured.
Police responded to a wreck that occurred around 7:30 PM Friday at the West Summer Street and 70-Bypass intersection.
According to the report, a 2005 Dodge SUV turned left at the intersection into oncoming traffic. The Dodge, driven by Timothy A. Smith, was struck by a Toyota pickup truck, driven by Michael R Johnson. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene. Smith was taken to a local hospital for his injuries.
Charges are reportedly pending in the accident.
