A Kingsport man was arrested after a robbery was reported Friday at Pilot Travel Center on Baileyton Road.
According to the report, officers arrived after 7 AM and found the suspect John Brown with a shovel in his hand. The complainant stated Brown was talking out of his head and asked him to leave multiple times due to bothering customers. After offering Brown a cigarette, an employee asked him to leave.
He reportedly returned to the store with a shovel and went behind the counter attempting to steal cigarettes. Employees had to push Brown out the store until officers arrived. He was arrested and charged with Aggravated Burglary.
