The Greeneville Energy Authority is warning citizens of a phone scam.
Calls are reportedly being made saying payments were not posted to customer accounts due to a software update. The scammer is looking for up-to-date financial information.
These calls are not coming from Greeneville Energy Authority and are not legitimate. If you receive one of these calls, hang up and do not give out any personal information.
