The Upper East Tennessee Human Development Agency has received an extension of federal funds for its Low-Income Household Water Assistance Program and applications will now be accepted until March 31, 2024.
The original deadline for the program was the end of this month. The program works to help low-income households with their residential water bill. Help can be provided for past and current water bills, disconnection and reconnection fees, and threats of disconnection.
Assistance is based on a priority points system. The program’s availability is limited in the area.
