A Bewleys Chapel Road woman recently discovered she’s been paying for her neighbor’s water for the last several months.
The woman reported to the Greene County Sheriff’s Department Saturday that this past winter, the pipes on her property froze and busted. A man, who was identified in the police report, came to her home, dug up the pipes, and allegedly fixed them.
The victim said she recently noticed her neighbor’s water is connected to her water. The victim has been paying not only her water bill, but all the water her neighbor has been using.
The victim said she spoke with her neighbor, who claimed to be unaware of the situation. The victim believes she has been paying about $100 a month more on the bill, totaling around $1,000.
