A Greeneville man was indicted Friday for 1 count of a false report, 1 count of leaving the scene of an accident, 1 count of child abuse and endangerment, and DUI charges.
Christopher O’neal of Arnold Road was indicted for charges back in September 2021 when he allegedly left the scene of the accident and was later found by officers. O’Neal had an odor of alcohol on his breath and according to the police report, performed poorly on field sobriety tests.
He had a two year old in the vehicle with him and provided false information, stating his mother was driving the vehicle involved in the accident. Further investigation revealed that O’Neal had been driving and rear ended the victim in an accident.
