A man was injured and transported to the hospital after a crash at the West Main Street and Pennsylvania Avenue intersection Tuesday afternoon.
Officers responded to the collision around 4:30 PM. Vehicle 1 driven by Amber C. Baker was reportedly at a stop sign at the intersection and was making a left turn onto West Main Street at the same time as a motorcycle, driven by Micah J. Kruse was heading outbound. Kruse attempted to break and swerve to avoid Baker but ended up getting hit by Baker’s vehicle.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol report, Kruse had to be transported by EMS to the Johnson City Medical Center. His injuries are not known at this time. Witnesses stated they saw Baker pull out in front of the motorcycle. Her vehicle had to be towed and was not drivable. She was cited with failure to yield.
