A man was arrested for drug violations Wednesday after a K9 was requested to the scene on CCU Boulevard.
While on routine patrol an officer saw an SUV fail to stop at two stop signs while exiting Greeneville Terrace apartments. During a traffic stop, the driver was reportedly unable to provide proof of insurance. After further investigation, K9 Kid was called for an air sniff of the vehicle and gave a positive alert on the passenger side, where suspect Frank McDade of Bulls Gap was sitting.
Officers located a wrapper and a small bag of a white crystal like substance consistent with Methamphetamine, along with a Suboxone strip inside what appeared to be a ball for a trailer hitch, which reportedly had a hidden compartment. The passenger McDade admitted it was his. He was arrested and charged with drug violations.
