A Hampton man was arrested in Greene County on Thursday night for DUI after wrecking his vehicle.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Department responded to the 700 block of Lovers Lane around 11:45 PM. Michael Charlton of Highway 321 was seen walking away from the scene of the crash.
Charlton was reportedly unsteady on his feet and had slurred speech. He performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was transported to the Greene County Detention Center for DUI 1st offense.
