One person was injured in an accident Monday morning on Interstate 81 in Greene County involving a tractor-trailer.
The wreck occurred around 9:00 AM near mile marker 40 in the northbound lanes.
A tractor-trailer driven by 33-year-old Barthasard Bimenyimania of Texas was broken down and sitting stationary with three emergency triangles behind it for traffic control. A Honda CRV driven by 29-year-old Dustin Carter of Tennessee struck the rear of the tractor-trailer.
Carter was injured in the accident and transported to the Johnson City Medical Center, according to the report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol. Bimenyimania was not injured in the accident.
