Three Greeneville City Schools were placed in precautionary external lockdowns today due to a domestic situation in the community.
According to a press release issued by Greeneville City Schools, Greeneville Middle, EastView Elementary, and Highland Elementary Schools were placed on external lockdown around 11:45 AM.
External lockdown means that students and staff are able to move as normal inside the building, but no one can go outside the building or gain entry to the building.
The external lockdowns were lifted around 1:30 PM at the advice of the Greeneville City Police department. Communication was provided to families during the external lockdowns.
