An Afton man was arrested for DUI in a school zone on Wednesday morning.
An officer with the Greeneville Police Department was working school zone traffic for Greeneville High School and spotted a motorized bicycle traveling 27 mph in the 15 mph school zone.
A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Shawn Clark of West Pines Road. Clark’s license was discovered be to canceled and an odor of alcohol was detected on his person.
When asked if he had been drinking, Clark reportedly said he had the previous night. He then performed poorly on field sobriety tests.
Clark was transported to the Greene County Detention Center for DUI 2nd offense, driving without a license, and speeding.
