A Johnson City man was arrested Friday for aggravated assault following an incident at a Limestone residence.
Deputies with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence in the 100 block of McInturff Road. The victims said they purchased a generator from 45-year-old David Worsham and he demanded they return it to him. He arrived at the residence, refused to return the money they paid him for the generator, and allegedly struck one victim in the face.
Worsham reportedly attempted to flee, jackknifed his truck and trailer into the victim’s vehicle, threatened to burn their house down, and tried to run over them with his vehicle. He then threw a large piece of metal at the victim’s vehicle, damaging the hood and windshield.
Deputies located Worsham at a residence on McKinley Road and took him into custody for aggravated assault and vandalism.
