A Chuckey man was arrested by Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies following a chase on Highway 107 Friday.
According to a press release from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were on the lookout for 45-year-old Travis Graham, who had warrants in both Greene and Washington Counties. He was spotted on Erwin Highway and reportedly drove at speeds of more than 100 mph before crashing in a field off Enon Church Road. He then reportedly attempted to drive through a creek before abandoning the vehicle. Deputies apprehended Graham after a short foot pursuit.
A search of his vehicle produced a bottle in the driver side door area that contained an orange powder identified as suboxone. He also had a large amount of cash on him, which was seized.
Graham was charged with various traffic violations, two counts of driving on a suspended or revoked license fourth offense, two counts of evading arrest, simple possession of schedule 3 drugs, and speeding over 100 mph in a 55 mph zone. His outstanding warrants in Washington County for failure to appear were served upon his arrival at the Washington County Detention Center.
