A woman was arrested Thursday from a residence on Cypress Street after allegedly choking another resident until they could not breath.
The caretaker of both the victim and suspect spoke with officers and stated the suspect got upset due to being told she could not have another soda. The suspect then reportedly lunged at the victim who was sitting at a table and began choking her to the point where she could not breath. The caretaker tried to stop the suspect but lost her balance and the woman started choking the victim again.
The suspect allegedly ran back into the house after getting stopped the second time. Officers arrived and arrested the suspect for aggravated assault and transported her to the Greene County Detention Center.
