After dedicating over six years to the Greene County Regional Planning Commission, Kristin Girton has made the decision to step back from her role.
Radio Greeneville got the chance to speak with Girton on her decision and future plans. Girton said the choice was driven by a desire to invest more time at home educating her daughters and to further channel her energy into meaningful nonprofit endeavors.
Specifically, she is excited to expand her involvement in mentoring young women within the Miss Tennessee Organization and her work with the Jessica Colter Memorial Scholarship Foundation. As she transitions from the planning commission and City Council, she is eagerly embracing new avenues that allow her to make a lasting impact on the lives of others and contribute positively to the community.
