The South Greene Rebels enter the 2023 season looking to start this season in a similar way they closed out the 2023 regular season. After starting last season 2-5, the Rebels would close the regular season winning three in a row and earning a victory over Rockwood in the opening round of the playoffs. Their season would come to a close at the York Institute, but many young bright spots shined to end last season.
The Rebels will look to keep that momentum rolling into this season as they begin the year on Rebel Hill against David Crocket on August 18. South Greene will remain home for a Thursday night matchup against Cumberland Gap on August 31.
The first road game of the 2023 season will be just down the road in Lower Afton against county-rival Chuckey-Doak on September 8 before returning home for a matchup with Union County on September 15. Another short trip for the Rebels will follow as South Greene will head to Mosheim to play West Greene on September 22.
The final home stretch in the regular season will feature matchups with Seymour on September 29 and Happy Valley on October 6 from Rebel Hill. South Greene will close out the 2023 regular season on the road with trips to new region opponent Eagleton Academy on October 13, a trip to Rutledge to play Grainger on October 20, and the regular season finale on October 27 at rival Hampton.
