A Limestone man was arrested Wednesday for aggravated burglary.
According to a press release from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, 27-year-old Gabriel Barnett had the victim come to his home in the Bowmantown Community on Tuesday to work on a vehicle. While the victim was working, Barnett allegedly held him at gunpoint and stole the victim’s firearm. The victim left and called 911 to report the incident.
Deputies responded that day and a warrant was issued for Barnett’s arrest. He was located Wednesday and transported to the Washington County Detention Center for aggravated burglary. Bond was set at $50,000. His initial court appearance was scheduled for this afternoon.
