At around 8 pm Last night, Greeneville police responded to a report of a simple assault. Officers went to a restaurant in Towne Square Shopping Center, where the individuals were located.
The victim told Greeneville police that the suspect, Joshua Crum, was angry because she commented on one of her friend’s social media posts but did not comment on his.
Crum then reportedly showed up at her workplace and stole her housekey, threatened to burn her belongings, took her phone, and assaulted her when she arrived home.
While the victim was being questioned, Crum allegedly tried to walk out of the restaurant but was stopped by police.
Crum was placed under arrest and transported to the Greene County detention center without further incident.
