A Sunnyside Loop woman reported Monday to the Greene County Sheriff’s Department that a man she paid to install a heat pump has never completed the job.
The victim said the suspect looked at her heat pump in early April and said she needed a new one. She gave the man a check for $4,750 that day and then another check for $1,150 later in the month.
The suspect has never returned with her new unit and both checks were cashed. The victim has been trying to get the suspect to do the job, but he reportedly has various excuses for not being able to come to her residence.
