A Limestone man was arrested after allegedly stealing guns from a Greene County residence.
A deputy with the Greene County Sheriff’s Department responded on Monday afternoon to a home on Rattlesnake Ridge. The victim said Ashton Garber of Carson Circle visited her on Saturday. Afterward, she discovered a .38 pistol missing that had been lying on her dresser. Garber came back to visit the next day. When he left, the victim noticed a 9mm pistol missing that was under her mattress.
Deputies later received a tip Garber would be at a residence on West Pines Road. Garber pulled into the driveway and was detained. Both pistols reported stolen were found in his possession.
Garber was taken into custody for theft under $1,000 and two counts of unlawful possession of a handgun.
