The National Weather Service in Morristown has issued a special weather statement regarding patchy dense fog in the area tonight.
Some of the fog will become locally dense, reducing visibility to less than one-quarter mile. When traveling late tonight and early on the Fourth of July, be prepared for a sudden drop in visibility. Motorists are advised to allow extra time to reach their destinations and slow down.
The fog will dissipate soon after sunrise on Tuesday. The Independence Day forecast calls for mostly sunny skies by the afternoon and a high around 85.
