An accident resulted in injuries on the Kingsport Highway Friday morning.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol reported a Nissan Sentra driven by 70-year-old Michael Wayne Maddox, was traveling east on the Kingsport Highway near Babbs Mill Road.
The Sentra reportedly crossed the center line, side-swiping a Nissan Versa driven by 23-year-old Andrew Arrington of Virginia. Arrington and a passenger complained of injuries following. The preliminary report stated charges may be pending the outcome of the investigation.
Everyone was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
