Road Rage led to a vehicle striking another on the 9000 block of East Andrew Johnson Highway Wednesday afternoon.
Two different calls were made to the Sheriff’s Office with similar stories. The accident was reported before 5 PM when a woman called and said a brown truck pulled across the highway in front of her causing her to brake hard. The woman honked at the vehicle and drove past in the passing lane. She approached Rheatown Road intersection, when the truck reportedly swerved into her lane and rammed her vehicle.
The driver of the truck also reported that he was rammed and said he had to flee from the woman and pull into the Walmart parking lot to report the incident. According to the report the man said he had a handgun and would have to shoot the woman if she arrived before law enforcement and made him feel threatened.
A third call was made by a witness but neither parties were charged because of conflicting stories.
