Two women from Greeneville, Ellen Lipe and Dr. Michelle Freeman , were awarded for accomplishments in their field and received the Women to Watch award for the state of Tennessee.
The Awards Committee of the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA) recently presented Ellen Lipe, Chief Financial Officer of Greeneville City Schools, with the prestigious 2023 Woman to Watch Award. This distinguished recognition is part of the TSCPApex awards program, designed to acknowledge the exceptional accomplishments and contributions made by TSCPA members to both the society and the accounting profession.
Dr. Michelle Freeman, Associate Professor and Coordinator of the Masters in Accountancy (M.ACC) program at ETSU, has recently also been named a recipient of the TSCPApex Women to Watch award. This award recognizes Dr. Freeman’s exemplary efforts and achievements in advancing the accounting profession and celebrates her significant impact in the field.
The Woman to Watch Award celebrates women professionals in the accounting field who have exhibited exemplary leadership qualities, made significant contributions to the profession, and demonstrated a commitment to the advancement of women in the accounting industry.
