A man was arrested after deputies responded to a crash on Fish Hatchery Road and McCorkel Lane.
Michael Munsey was allegedly parked in the middle of the street about 10 PM with no headlights when another vehicle struck his and rolled 3 times into a field. The victim said she did not see the truck and by the time she did see it, it was already too late. Munsey’s vehicle also rolled into a cornfield after the collision. Both were reportedly okay.
When speaking with Munsey, he stated he hit a deer and that’s why he stopped. He was fixing his headlight in the middle of the road but stated they were still on. A witness spoke with the Greene County Sheriff’s Department and said she saw both vehicles collide and Munsey’s vehicle was in the road with no headlights on.
After gathering information, Munsey was found to have an active warrant out of Greene County and suspended licenses. He was arrested and transported to the Greene County Detention Center.
