A man was arrested after he pulled out what looked like a firearm during an accident near Old Knoxville Highway and Hal Henard Road yesterday afternoon.
Both Greeneville Police Department and Greene County deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident where there was allegedly an assault with a firearm in progress. Deputies spoke with suspect Anthony Bright, who refused to comply with commands and was resisting arrest according to the report.
An officer spoke with the victim who stated he and Bright got into an accident, at which point Bright then presented the ‘firearm’. Bright explained he did pull out a gun but it was not a real firearm, rather a pepper ball gun. He was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault and resisting arrest.
