Police responded to a report of a motorcycle theft from a parking lot on East Andrew Johnson Highway Friday.
Officers spoke with the victim who told them he had parked his motorcycle in the side parking lot between Mountain Motor Sports and Dixie Pawn Shop.
While he was inside, someone apparently stole his Kawasaki Z400. The motorcycle is new, blue and black, and had a temporary tag.
The total loss was listed as $6,000.
