The Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development reported this afternoon that Greene County’s unemployment rate in April was 3.0 percent, down from 3.8 percent in March.
Greene County’s rate a year ago was 3.4 percent.
The unemployment rate for April 2023 decreased in all 95 Tennessee counties and each county had a rate below 5 percent. Williamson County had the lowest rate at 1.9 percent, while Bledsoe County had the highest at 4.6 percent.
The state’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for April was 3.3 percent, down from 3.4 percent in March.
