Theft of Motor Vehicle Parts was reported on Ocean Boulevard East Tuesday.
The complainant spoke with Greeneville Police Department and said someone stole his grandson’s catalytic converter and the battery from his vehicle. The victim’s vehicle was left at a location on Ocean Boulevard East last week, he was unable to get to the vehicle at that time. When he arrived to pick it up the car was on jacks, missing the catalytic converter and battery.
Contact was made with the owner of a residence where the car was parked who stated they only knew of one person that was around. That person was named in the report and was not able to be located at the time. The owner allegedly was not cooperative during the investigation but denied any involvement.
