Simple Assault was reported Thursday on Snapps Ferry Road.
The report from Greene County Sheriff’s Department states the victim, suspect and witnesses had conflicting stories and no arrests were made. According to the victim, he was wrapping up his workday at the residence when the suspect allegedly arrived and approached him. He stated the suspect was yelling and mad because he was working on the house. The suspect was allegedly fired from the job due to stealing materials and money from the owner.
The two began fighting but it’s unclear as to who attacked who and how the two ended up in a ditch next to the front porch. The report states the suspect sustained injuries and had to be taken to the emergency room. The suspect says he was hit with a hammer by the victim’s wife. Officers state there were no apparent injuries seen and no hammer was found during an investigation. Parties were advised on how to press charges if desired.
