A fundraiser on the GoFundMe website is continuing to collect donations for the family of an Eastview Elementary student who was killed in a car accident last Friday.
10-year-old Jackson Flanders, a fourth grade student at Eastview, died in the accident on Jones Bridge Road. His mother, 42-year-old Allison Flanders, was transported by medical helicopter from the scene to a local hospital in critical condition.
The organizer of the fundraiser told Radio Greeneville News Wednesday afternoon that Allison Flanders is now in stable condition. According to the GoFundMe page, all proceeds that are raised will go directly into a memorial fund for Jackson Flanders’ funeral expenses.
As of this morning, the page had more than 200 donations made. About $13,400 has been raised out of the $15,000 goal.
