A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of Northwest and Southeast Greene County through 7:15 AM this morning.
At about 5:50 AM, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Jonesborough, or 10 miles southwest of Johnson City, moving southeast at 30 mph. There could be wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.
Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
