A woman was arrested yesterday for criminal impersonation after a traffic stop was conducted.
The vehicle was stopped on East Church Street yesterday afternoon for a traffic stop due to the driver not having a seat belt on. A female in the back seat, Alexis Clendenin of Oak Ridge, was avoiding eye contact with the officer according to the report, and first told the officer her last name was Starnies. She was allegedly acting nervous and didn’t know her social security number.
The female suspect then admitted her last name was Clendenin and she might have a warrant out of Anderson County. She was arrested with criminal impersonation and transported to the Greene County Detention Center without incident.
