The Greene County Grand Jury met Monday and several were indicted including Samuel H. Brown of Old Baileyton Road in Afton.
Brown was charged with three counts of aggravated assault on December 5, 2022. According to the indictment, Brown did commit the offense of causing the victims, Timothy Howard, Adam Shelton, and Tiffany Shelton to fear bodily injury with a deadly weapon being a knife. All three counts being a Class C Felony. Brown was also charged with one count of carrying a weapon on school property, with the intent to go armed into a public school, a Class E Felony.
On December 5, 2022 Brown pulled out a knife in the boy’s locker room during half time at the South Greene vs. West Greene Middle School Basketball game. According to the report from Greene County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred that night when Brown pulled out a knife while coaches and players were present.
By the time deputies arrived, he had left the scene, but camera footage confirmed the incident. Warrants were taken out for Brown and he was served with a criminal trespass warning for all Greene County Schools Property.
