Two were arrested Sunday near Milburnton Road in Limestone, by the Greene County Sheriff’s Department after failing to comply during a traffic stop.
According to the report, the driver Dylan Carder of Afton, was seen crossing the center double yellow lines numerous times and was driving 60 mph in a 45mph zone. The deputy initiated his blue lights but Carder continued northbound into Washington County. According to the deputy, items were thrown out the window by the passenger, Chelsea Gray of Greeneville. The items appeared to be baggies and syringes.
The vehicle reportedly continued fleeing. Deputies from Washington County attempted to assist; spiking the vehicle multiple times but were unsuccessful. The pursuit went onto I-26 towards Kingsport where the driver got off exit 13 and a Johnson City Officer had spikes out. The spike strip flattened 3 of the 4 tires. At that point Carder allegedly threw the keys and he and the passenger put their hands out the window.
A search of the vehicle included a glass pipe, metal grinder with residue, and fake currency. The report states Carder was given charges including Felony Reckless Endangerment, Felony Evading and Tampering with Evidence. Gray was charged with Tampering with Evidence, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Fugitive from Justice.
Deputies then went back to the area where items were thrown with a K-9. Narcotics were found near Glendale Road. Items located included a baggie containing a crystal like substance believed to be Methamphetamine weighing about 4 grams and a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana weighing approximately 7 grams.
Carder has additional charges including Manufacturing, Delivery, Sale or Possession of Methamphetamine and Gray’s charges included Manufacturing, Delivery, and Sale or Possession of Methamphetamine.
