The Greeneville High School baseball team not only will enter the postseason as the top team in the state in Class 3A, but will also enter with some individual hardware as Greene Devils took home conference awards as announced on Tuesday.
Sophomore standout and Virginia Tech commit Carson Quillen took home Co-Player of the Year while Co-Pitcher of the Year was split between two Greene Devils in Colton Richards and Parker Shipley. Freshman Maddox Bishop would round out the individual awards by winning Conference Co-Newcomer of the Year.
Named to the Twin Lakes Conference First-Team were Carson Norris, Corbin Cannon, and Eli House while earning Honorable Mention would be Kobe Mundy and Noah Murray.
Head coach Andy Collins would be named Co-Coach of the Year after the Greene Devils finished the regular season 25-2. Greeneville begins postseason plays on Thursday from Carson-Newman University in the District Tournament. They’ll play a tournament game on Friday from Dale Alexander Field due to the commencement ceremony at Carson-Newman.
