A woman was assaulted Friday evening while in her vehicle on Poplar Springs Road.
According to the report, the incident occurred after the victim was driving at a slow pace on that road, due cows being seen earlier that day. Another vehicle approached quickly behind her and she tried to signal them to drive past her. The driver allegedly started yelling and once the victim stuck her head out the window, he got out his vehicle.
Once he approached the victim’s car, she grabbed her phone and the he reportedly hit her hand twice, knocking the phone out her hand. She grabbed the phone a third time and was able to call 911. At that point the suspect left. The vehicle he was driving was a blue Lincoln Navigator with license plate E61804. Warrant procedures were advised.
