The biggest book sale in Northeast Tennessee is set to begin this weekend at Greene Valley, off Edens Road in the Central Services buildings.
If you love books, you will feel like a kid in a candy store. The Annual Book Sale is a library fundraiser for the Greeneville-Greene County Library, to help with additional materials to complement the Library collection and helps with operating costs. Donations can be dropped off at the Library all year round for the book sale, where there are over 100,000 books to choose from. This year that amount has probably doubled.
The Full Price Weekend will take place beginning Friday. Hours will be 10am to 6pm on Friday and Saturday, and 12 to 5pm on Sunday. During this weekend, hardbacks will be sold for $2, and paperbacks for $1. The Half Price Weekend will be held on May 5th, 6th, and 7th. And the popular bag sale where visitors can fill up a bag for just $3, will be held May on 20th and the 21st.
