A Washburn woman was arrested following a traffic stop on Monday in which she falsely identified herself as her twin sister.
An officer with the Greeneville Police Department stopped the vehicle at the Luther Street and Lafayette Street intersection around 6:00 PM Monday due to the driver, Brittany Bowlin, having a revoked license. Bowlin identified herself to the officer as her twin sister, but she could not provide a social security number.
Bowlin was asked to step out of the vehicle and reportedly admitted that she lied about her identity because she was scared. Bowlin said she had several syringes in the car and some were loaded.
A K9 officer had a positive alert on the vehicle. Several items of drug paraphernalia were found, along with three suboxone strips in Bowlin’s purse. Bowlin was charged with simple possession, criminal impersonation, driving on a revoked license, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
A passenger in the car, Kirsten Jones of Logwood Lane in Greeneville, had a cigarette pack containing around .2 grams of meth. She was charged with simple possession of meth.
