Simple assault was reported yesterday afternoon after a man was followed to a Dollar General on West Bernard Avenue.
According to the report from Greeneville Police Department, the victim told officers he was driving and had to beep his horn at a vehicle that was backing into the roadway. He reportedly was followed from that location by a different vehicle into the Dollar General Parking lot. A male exited and approached him on the driver’s side and punched him in the head.
Witnesses confirmed the assault and the suspect allegedly made verbal threats before being asked to leave by an employee. The complainant wishes to prosecute.
