A man was arrested with several charges this morning due to resisting arrest from the Greene County Sheriff’s Department, after they responded to a call of an unknown vehicle in someone’s driveway.
Officers arrived on Iron Bridge Road about 2:30 AM and found the driver, suspect Mack Lewis of Mosheim, asleep in the vehicle, with someone in the passenger and back seat. According to the report, the suspect had 2 violations of probation and a summons out from the Greeneville Police Department. He was asked to step out the vehicle but refused. Lewis allegedly resisted arrest jerking his arm away from the officer. A deputy had to help the officer guiding him out the vehicle and onto the ground before he was eventually hand cuffed.
A search was conducted on Lewis and found was 78 grams of a substance resembling meth, a scale, 0.89 grams of cocaine, and a glass pipe. He was arrested with multiple charges.
