Criminal charges are pending after a crash on Friday about 5:50 PM on Forest Road, near East Seven Springs Road.
A Nissan Maxima was traveling south on Forest Road and made a right turn at a high rate of speed. Vehicle 2 was driving north on Forest Road and was making a left turn. At that point, vehicle 1 crossed the double yellow center line and entered into the northbound lane colliding with vehicle 2 head on.
After contact, the second vehicle went backwards off the roadway and into an embankment. Both drivers were injured during the accident, including a passenger in the first vehicle. According to the report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, vehicle 1 was evading arrest while THP was actively pursuing them. Charges are pending against both the driver and passenger.
