At 11:00 Saturday night, officers noticed a female walking on West Church Street. The woman was apparently crying and was not wearing shoes. Officers stopped to check on her and identified her as Laura Carter of Cox Road.
Carter told officers she was fine, and asked if she could have a ride to Cox Road. Officers asked if she had anything illegal with her, and she reportedly started pulling pills out of her pockets. Police recovered four gabapentin pills and a piece of Subutex.
Carter was taken into custody for possession of schedule V and schedule III drugs and was transported to the Greene County Detention Center.
