A Wind Advisory will be in effect for Greene County from 11:00 tonight until 8:00 PM Saturday. According to the National Weather Service in Morristown, winds of 15 to 30 miles per hour with gusts up to 50 miles per hour are possible.
Southeast Greene County will be under a High Wind Warning from 11:00 tonight until 2:00 PM Saturday, then will be under a Wind Advisory Saturday from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Winds of 25 to 35 miles per hour, with gusts up to 70 miles per hour are possible in the mountains and foothills.
Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are possible. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
For tonight, showers and thunderstorms will move through the area into Saturday along a fast moving front. Some of these storms could be strong or severe.
