Two were arrested yesterday after a traffic stop on East Church Street and East Barton Ridge Road.
An SUV with a loud exhaust drove by an officer with the Greeneville Police Department, which initiated the traffic stop. Contact was made with the driver Jesse Coleman and passenger Cecil Greer. According to the report when looking for registration, Coleman’s hands were shaking. A K-9 was requested to the scene and gave a positive alert on the vehicle.
A small glass container was found under the passenger seat containing approximately .2 grams of a substance believed to be Meth. A 40-caliber handgun was also found loaded with a magazine in the back seat. Coleman was confirmed to be a convicted felon and arrested for unlawful carrying or possession of a weapon. And Greer was arrested for possession of Methamphetamine.
