A Mosheim man reported blackmail to the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Monday.
The Oak Hills Road man said he has been talking to a woman on the dating app Tinder. The two exchanged personal photos and then the woman asked the victim to email her.
When the man emailed the suspect, she instantly demanded $1,000 and threatened to leak the photos to the victim’s friends and family. The victim told the woman he could not pay that.
While the victim was filing the police report, the woman was demanding $150 from him. He said the suspect put him on a timer while demanding the money.
The victim provided the deputy with the email address and phone number the suspect has been using to communicate with him.
